It is a very energetic and courageous dog, weighing a maximum of 10 kg and is 28 cm tall. It has two layers of fur and a 15 cm long tail, shaped like a carrot. It needs a lot of physical activity, and is persistent when it wants to catch prey. Despite its small size, it is a good guard dog.

3. Scottish Terrier

Another breed of Terrier born in Scotland. It is also known as the Aberdeen Terrier or Scottie,  and was born in the early 18th century. It is a very adept digging dog, as it was originally used to track down badgers in the mountains.

It has an elongated snout which helps it perform this task. In addition, it has long, pointed ears. The Scottish Terrier is very territorial, agile, quick, purposeful and attentive. It is a breed that has been chosen by celebrities (Franklin Roosevelt, George Bush, Queen Victoria, Rudyard Kipling and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis).
